Last time we talked about the Samsung Infuse 4G, it got some small update, which did NOT including Android 2.3 Gingerbread. As we’ve heard before, Sammy’s baby will get the Gingerbread treatment after all but we’re not sure when that will happen. Presuming you’re tired of waiting, you can cram Gingerbread on your Infuse 4G today.
The build I997UCKI4 has leaked out and everyone with a decent those of tech knowledge can try it out. Needless to say, since this isn’t the official update, you can make your warranty obsolete in case something goes wrong. If you’re willing to take that risk, proceed to SamFirmware’s website where you’ll get all instructions needed to make this happen. Bear in mind, however, that IntoMobile can’t be held responsible if your phone bricks, data is lost or some other bad thing happens.
