Finally we got the first press shot of the upcoming HTC EVO Design 4G. Sprint’s baby will cater to mass market, with the carrier most likely asking about $100 for the device along with a two-year contract. In other words – Amazon, Walmart, RadioShack and Wirefly will most likely offer it for a single cent with the same customer service agreement.
Specs wise, the EVO Design 4G is the same device as U.S. Cellular’s Hero S, sporting a single-core 1.2GHz processor, 768MB of RAM, 4-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording capability on the back, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera on the front for video calls. Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread is running the show with HTC’s own Sense UI singing on top.
We still have no idea when this phone will launch, but we’ll definitely keep our eyes wide open and let you know as soon as we catch something cool. Stay tuned in the meantime, k?
