New uTorrent alpha build integrates with Android and iOS devices

One of the most popular BitTorrent clients, uTorrent, has been updated with some really neat functionality. The new alpha build allows users to drag and drop downloaded content to various devices — including iOS and Android-powered smartphones — directly from the uTorrent interface.

At the moment, the application will simply copy the content to your device, but the plan is to include video and audio file conversion in the near future, making it even easier to get new content from the web and enjoy it later on your phone or tablet.

Sounds cool, don’t you think? You can try out the new uTorrent from here… or wait for the first beta version to be released.

As a side note, one other BitTorrent client (Vuze) has been offering device integration and file conversion for quite some time now. I guess uTorrent idea is to get some extra love by integrating this capabilities, as well…
