Google and HTC have started rolling out the Android 2.3.6 update for the original Google phone – Nexus One. The main bug this release addresses is the random start of the Voice Search application, something many users have complained about. In addition, I guess there are also some other under the hood improvements that should make Nexus One a more stable device.
On the downside though – some users are reporting problems with the pinch-to-zoom capability in the default Gallery application, which we hope will be fixed soon.
So what advice can I give you? If you don’t use Gallery app that frequently or use some other application to browse your photos, update this very second. Otherwise, wait for few more weeks, keep your eyes on forums and see whether there’s some workaround to turn of the Voice Search activation…
