Samsung Wave phone sales to surpass 10 million units by the end of 2011

We can’t really call Samsung’s bada efforts a total failure. Sure they are making most of their “mobile money” by selling simple feature phones and Android-powered smartphones, but Sammy’s bada-based Wave smartphones are contributing a bit as well. That said, we’ve learned that by the end of this year, the Korean company will surpass 10 million Wave units sold. More precisely, this fairly important milestone will be reached at some point in October or November.

And while we (and many other media outlets for that matter) are still kinda skeptical about the prospects of Samsung’s platform, that doesn’t stop the Korean company from pursuing its agenda. Quite the contrary, they have recently introduced an extension to the Wave range — including Wave M, Wave Y and Wave 3.

We’ll definitely be following where this “wave” takes Samsung and the whole mobile industry. Stay tuned in the meantime, k?
