Verizon Wireless has released the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for its rough & tough smartphone, Casio G’zOne Commando. Available as over-the-air (OTA) update, software version C771M070 brings a number of performance improvements, bug fixes and some new features. More precisely, here’s what you get:
Call Features
- Screen will brighten upon touch when phone is docked during a voice call.
- Proximity Sensor accurately senses presence during a voice call.
Email and Messaging
- Auto signature can be enabled within SMS/MMS messages.
- Device will no longer generate a draft message when opening a message.
Additional Device Features
- Privacy Caution screen will now appear during Setup Wizard.
- V CAST Media Manager now comes preloaded.
- Reduced device lag.
So what are you waiting for? Hit “Settings,” “About phone”, then “System Updates” and finally “Check New.” Make sure your battery is fully charged before proceeding, though.
