Video streaming website Dailymotion is teaming up with the Original iPhone Film Festival (OIFF) to showcase the film chops of the Apple iOS community.
Not sure what the Original iPhone Film Festival is all about? Here’s a snippet from the press release doing all the explaining on my behalf:
Open to any filmmaking enthusiast with an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad2, the Original iPhone Film Festival showcases the films of the iPhone filmmaker community and encourages aspiring videographers to tell their stories by utilizing the “film studio in their pocket” – the cutting-edge Apple iOS devices that break down the barriers to personal filmmaking. Participants can submit short videos in four categories: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Brand Films and Music Videos and have the opportunity to win stellar prizes like a Macbook Air, iPad 2, Apple TVs and more.
The contest runs through October 31st and participants can submit their short films through this page. In early November, Dailymotion will display the category winners and will give fans a chance to vote for the Grand Prize Film. Submitted videos will instantly be available to Dailymotion’s mobile viewers…
