U.S. Cellular informed us that its, let’s face it, limited smartphone portfolio has been beefed-up with the addition of HTC Hero S. The device is available for new customers for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in-rebate, as well as for those on Belief plans who are eligible for a phone upgrade.
If you recall, the Hero S is U.S. Cellular’s version of the HTC Kingdom, which will also be available from Sprint as EVO Design 4G. Specs wise, it comes with a 4-inch Super LCD qHD touchscreen, single-core processor, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus on the back, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, EV-DO Rev. A and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth and a memory card slot.
Finally, at the end of the news, U.S. Cellular reminds us that customers on Belief plans earn points for doing simple things like paying their wireless bill on time, adding a line or referring friends and family. Other benefits include new phones faster without continuously signing contracts, free Battery Swap, Overage Protection, and free incoming calls, texts and picture messages…
