Marvel Comics has launched its official application for the Android users. At the moment, it’s made for smartphones and tablets running Android 2.x, but we’re sure the Honeycomb update is in the making as we speak.
As you can imagine, the application allows you to browse comics and buy them while on the go. It’s still not a worldwide thing, though I guess that will be changed too (along with the support for Honeycomb devices) in the near future.
You can choose between hundreds of comic books featuring such popular characters as Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine and others. Each comic can be enjoyed either in the “guided view” mode (an animated, panel-by-panel path through the comic), or by using regular device controls to zoom and pan your way through pages.
Way to go Marvel, now would you be kind to release your app for those of us living outside of the U.S. of A? Thanks.
