We know O2 has scored the exclusive launch deal for the HTC Rhyme. Now we’re not sure whether the Android smartphone doesn’t meet sales expectations or this is just part of O2’s regular cycle, but the good news is that you can now get the Rhyme for less. The Telefónica-owned operator is offering the music-centric device for free on plans starting at 13.50 GBP per month!
Of course, you shouldn’t expect a ton of minutes and megabytes with such a deal — it comes with 50 minutes and 100MB of mobile data per month — but some folks may find it good enough. And if you don’t like what you’re getting, nothing stops you from grabbing some more expensive plan… if that’s what you fancy.
As a reminder, the Rhyme is a mid-to-high end smartphone with a 3.7-inch touchscreen, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, accelerometer and a microSD memory card slot. You can check out O2’s offer from this page…
