One of the fun things about the iPad 2 was the ability to use the GarageBand app but now iOS users on the iPhone and iPod touch can let loose with your inner musician.
The GarageBand 1.1 app is a $4.99 program that will run on the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPod touch (3rd & 4th generation). As you would expect, it allows you to create and remix new tunes and it almost gives you as much functionality as the desktop version.
“GarageBand on iPad has been a big hit and we think customers will love using it on their iPhone or iPod touch,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, in a prepared statement. “The innovative Multi-Touch interface combined with Smart Instruments makes it easy to create great sounding music, even if you’ve never studied music or played an instrument before.”
