The popular sports tracking app RunKeeper has been recently updated with few features demanded by its users. Without further ado, here’s what’s new:

  • Auto Pause – with this new feature no longer will you have to tap the stop button when hitting a traffic light or when you pause to tie your shoe. Simply turn on “Auto Pause” and let RunKeeper figure out what happened.
  • Heart Rate Zones – if you’re using a heart rate monitor with RunKeeper, the updated application will allow you to check out heart rate zone visuals and provide you with audio cues to make sure you’re always in the correct training zone.
  • Improved performance and stability – the application is also said to come with a number of changes under the hood to “improve overall tracking performance and stability.”

In addition, new photos and workout countdown features are now available both for iPhone and Android users… So what are you waiting for – grab the new RunKeeper and get back to your running (or whichever activity you prefer the most). ;)
