miFrame turns your iPad into a digital photo frame

Still haven’t found the right stand for your iPad? Check out the miFrame, a stand that doubles as a picture frame enclosure. Available in black or silver, it’s made out of aluminum and can be positioned in portrait or landscape orientation. Also included in the box is a 5-foot long USB cable that runs from the base and can be plugged in to a power source to keep the iPad charged.

As for that picture frame enclosure part, the miFrame can “handle” 8×10 photographs, which will be visible once you remove the iPad.

There is one caveat though, and it’s got to do with the way you get Apple’s tablet in and out of miFrame. You see, you have to snap the frame’s border off to get the iPad inside and that’s not something you can do with one hand — you’ll be holding the iPad in one hand and removing the frame’s border with the other one.

So what do you say? Does miFrame work for you? And more importantly, are you willing to pay $79.99 to get it? It’s readily available from its makers (Striped Sail) and Amazon.com

One of the most dumb accessories I’ve seen. The frame should cover the iPad bezel to get the effect right.
I still prefer using the iPad dock for that matter and for $80 it’s a steal.
