It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is going to hit shelves a lot sooner then we all thought. A leaked Verizon road map suggests a November 21 “web only” launch date for the next big Android handset. This news comes after reports first suggested a launch on the 10th then that date switched to a Nov. 17 launch. Rumor after rumor seems to come almost daily, as Verizon keeps pushing the actual release date all over the place.
Maybe this Nov. 21 date sticks, especially since it happens to be on the same week as Black Friday and the release of the Droid Razr according to the road map. It would be a smart move for America’s largest carrier to release one of the most anticipated phones of the year the same week during the biggest shopping time of the year.
There are a few other handsets that showed up on the roadmap, including the Samsung Illusion, BlackBerry Curve 9370, and Casio G’zOne Ravine 2, all landing November 17. Last but not least, we have to shed light on the two new Motorola XOOM tablets that was announced to the UK a week ago. The tabs will tote 10.1-inch and 8.2-inch displays, and will be much thinner than the original. If you’re anxiously waiting to grab you first Android slate, then the 30th. is your day.
Let’s hope this November 21 is the date we all can get our hands on the first Ice Cream Sandwich phone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
