As far as I know Quickoffice is by the far the single most used mobile office suite that comes preloaded with a number of devices. Their two Android apps (Quickoffice Pro and Quickoffice Pro HD) have been updated to version 5.0 and now include some handy features and UI tweaks. Here’s what’s new in this release:
- Support for Office 2010 files – not sure why this wasn’t included in the previous version
- Additional sharing options, including Evernote, Catch, and Egnyte.
- Improved UI with easier navigation and control
- New options for spreadsheet editing
- Improved PowerPoint slide rendering
- New fonts
In addition, there are changes under the hood that make sure the application is now more stable, while some of the known bugs have been fixed.
If you don’t have a mobile office suite running on your smartphone, Quickoffice is arguably the best choice you can make. You can get it from the two links below; one is a smartphone version and the other one is made for tablets.
