Motorola DROID 4 to be launched on December 8 alongside Galaxy Nexus?

File this under “heavy rumors” as we honestly think Verizon won’t launch the Motorola DROID 4 this year. It’s kinda too late to generate some buzz around it and my bet is they’ll use the upcoming CES in Las Vegas to unveil their first QWERTY keyboard-equipped LTE smartphone. But you never know…

Droid-Life got that info from one of its sources at Verizon and even though we would like to believe it’s true, as I said – I doubt that will happen. Waiting and seeing is pretty much all we can do at the moment.

As a reminder, the DROID 4 will come with a 4-inch Super AMOLED Advanced screen, 5-row illuminated keyboard, RAZR styling, mentioned LTE connectivity (alongside EV-DO Rev. A and Wi-Fi), 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, front-facing camera, HDMI out, GPS, Bluetooth and a memory expansion slot. All said, it will be the phone of choice for everyone looking for an Android smartphone with a physical keyboard.
