Alcatel will soon launch a new Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone – One Touch 918. The device already got clearance from the Bluetooth SIG and has earned its place at Alcatel’s website, hinting us the launch is imminent.

Specs wise, it comes with a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, 3.2-megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth 3.0, Facebook and Twitter integration, and a microSD memory card slot.

Perhaps even more interesting is that Alcatel will launch a dual-SIM version of the smartphone, One Touch 918D, that will (as you can imagine) allow you to connect to two networks at once. I know many folks who would appreciate a decent smartphone with that capability and in that sense Alcatel could have a winner with such a device.

Price is unknown at the moment, though we’re kinda confident both the Alcatel One Touch 918 and One Touch 918D will be reasonably priced. We’ll see…
