After releasing its app for iPhone and Android smartphones, Expedia.com updated the two applications to make them work on tablets, too.

When running on a tablet, Expedia Hotels takes advantage of the extra screen estate, providing more information at glance. Users get to research and book more than 130,000 hotels, via “intuitive design, lush graphics, gorgeous high-resolution photos and a beautifully tactile booking experience.” That sounds kinda bombastic, but it’s not far from the truth – the UI is really slick and I could tell they gave their best to make things look awesome.

Finally, it’s worth noting that the entire booking process can be finished in only four taps, which is pretty cool.

And for the record, Expedia Hotels for smartphones has been downloaded almost 2 million times and has been the #1 free travel app in more than 40 countries on the iTunes App Store.
