Fotopedia launched yet another photo-rich application for the iOS-based devices. The new app is all about wildlife, made for families, nature lovers, photographers and/or explorers. You’ll be able to watch as a baby seal hatches, as a polar bear falls asleep, as a wolf hugs the ground while it stalks its prey — each of which promises to “surprise, thrill and delight.”
Moreover, there are rare close-up images of arctic foxes, chamois, dolphins, humpback whales, imperial eagles, monk seals, puffins, along with less familiar creatures such as the wisent, the saiga antelope and the ghost shark. In total, there are more than 2,400 photos that come from 69 nature photographers, who explored a whole continent in 135 missions across 48 countries to bring us a selection of their best images.
Created in partnership with Wild Wonders of Europe, Fotopedia Wild Friends sports all of the features other Fotopedia apps offer, including the ability to share stuff via Facebook and Twitter.
Finally, there are daily-updated Visual Stories, allowing you to follow photographers’ steps and discoveries…
