Samsung Galaxy M Pro is finally available in the UK with theorder.co.uk selling it for 339.49 GBP, which is about $530 (kinda steep). The device that is a part of Sammy’s “magical” line-up seems made to push BlackBerry users toward the Android bandwagon, rocking both a physical keyboard beneath the touchscreen.
Aside from the mentioned keyboard, the Galaxy M Pro also comes with a 2.66-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera on the back, VGA front-facing camera, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show. Samsung’s own TouchWIZ UI comes preloaded, providing users with quick access to key phone functions and social networking services, as well as multiple homescreens (though that’s something the stock Android does as well).
While I generally like this form factor, I’m not sure Samsung can succeed with this price. It [price] should go way down and major operators need to add the Galaxy M Pro (and other similar devices) to their respective portfolios in order for BlackBerry-like Android smartphones to thrive…
