The Foursquare check-in app for BlackBerry has been updated to version 3.5 to include Lists. Foursquare introduced these awhile back on Android as a way for you to organize a series of spots surrounding a particular theme. This is good for when you’re getting your tourism on, but also a good way to organize and share some of your favourite haunts if you get around your hometown a lot. Within the app, you’ll be able to find nearby Lists, and follow them for future reference. As an added bonus to the update, there are also in-line photos that your friends share, so you don’t have to click through on their check-in to see what they’re sharing.
Right now, Foursquare’s biggest competition in the location check-in game is Facebook, especially after they acquired Gowalla. I’m still a little peeved that my years of Foursquare check-ins still aren’t showing up in the Facebook Places, where they would actually count for something among most of the people I know.
If you haven’t got the update notification, you can find Foursquare in BlackBerry App World right here.
