Mobixell, the company that redefines the way mobile network operators approach mobile video optimization, released the following infographic to show the recent history of mobile video optimization and highlight some of the technologies that are becoming critical components for mobile Internet services.

According to Mobixell, the real challenge is to ensure great user experience by shifting the focus to predicting and eliminating congestion before it affects subscribers. Although 4G/LTE networks will be of help, they’re not the magic bullet since their rollouts will be followed by the huge increases in traffic. Mobixell’s EVO solution is there to address the problem, but that’s not the subject of this post – the subject is the mentioned infographic, and here it comes. 😉
