Alongside all new phones, Sony Ericsson used CES to unveil three new accessories for Android smartphones. The so called Smart Extras include:

  • Xperia SmartTags – Working with any NFC enabled smartphone (like Xperia S), it allows users to simply touch a NFC enabled smartphone to a SmartTag (which is the shape and size of a small round token) to load a pre-configured profile in the phone. For instance, one SmartTag by your bed can turn on the alarm clock, and the other one in the car can start a GPS application.
  • Smart Wireless Headset pro – This Bluetooth stereo headset offers multifunctional features, “superior sound” included. Thanks to its display, users can read text messages, see incoming calls, access calendar notifications and much more. What’s more, when detached from the phone – it functions as a standalone MP3 player and radio.
  • SmartWatch – Featuring a micro display, SmartWatch communicates with an Android smartphone via Bluetooth. You get to use it to access text messages, social media updates and manage calls or music. When mounted on a strap, it can be worn as a watch. Applications allowing users to personalize their SmartWatch experience will be available on Android Market.

There you have it folks. Hopefully you’ve found something you like here. ;)

The wireless headphones/bluetooth sounds good, but the sound quality isn’t good enough for music yet
