ViewSonic ViewPad E70 runs Android 4.0, costs $169.99

ViewSonic is preparing to stun the world with a super cheap tablet that runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Set to be released in late Q1, the new ViewPad E70 ships with a 1GHz processor (not sure it’s dual-core) and 4GB memory storage. Moreover, it sports a front-facing camera (for video calls), Wi-Fi connectivity support, HDMI out and a microSD memory card slot. All this will be available for just $169.99!

Now I know there are other, much better tablets out there, but you don’t have that many options for 170 bucks. Sure there are those cheap Chinese devices from brands you’ve never heard of before, making ViewSonic’s product that much better.

Sure, the ViewPad E70 is still far from devices made by Samsung, Motorola, Asus and Toshiba – you can look at it as a perfect gift for folks who haven’t used tablets before…
