Maker of the ultra-portable speakers WOWee ONE and MicroVision, the leader in ultra-miniature laser display technology, teamed-up to “bring enhanced mobile visual and audio experiences” to smartphone and tablet users. By combining WOWee ONE’s Gel-Audio based portable speakers with MicroVision’s products based on PicoP portable display engine technology, the two companies are giving users the ability to instantly share and enjoy their content with colleagues, family and friends. The resulting device is illustrated above, providing users with a large viewing display (up to 200 inches diagonal) and booming sound.

Unfortunately we don’t have any dates or even name of the upcoming product — we do, however, know it will be available in more than 120 countries starting this quarter. Moreover, the price of the device wasn’t mentioned in the press release, though we hope it won’t cost a small fortune. We’ll try to get more details and even a review unit and get back to you as soon as we have something new to report. Stay tuned…
