Well, it’s that time of the year when rumors begin to run rampant about the next generation Apple device. The latest rumor claims that Apple is holding a handful of sample devices for the next iPhone, and the company could be looking to release a new model this summer, according to 9to5Mac.
The new iOS handset is expected to be called none other than the iPhone 5, and it’ll sport a 4-inch (or larger) display, with a form factor that looks much different from the current iPhone 4 and 4S. If this turns out to be true, Apple will not only be returning back to its original summer release schedule but would make the next iPhone the first to see a release in less than a year between models.
9to5Mac received this information from a “reliable source at Foxconn in China,” the same source who supposedly nailed that there would be no iPhone 5 last year, but another “S” model instead. That said, we say it all the time on this site people, take these rumors with a grain of salt at least until something more concrete surfaces.
Are you looking forward to seeing a new iPhone with a 4-inch display this summer?
