FixYa’s report reveals top consumer issues with iPad 2 and Kindle Fire

Apple’s iPad 2 and Amazon’s Kindle Fire are two of the top-selling tablets on the market today. FixYa, the product Q&A web destination, surveyed its users to discover the issues they have with the two popular products, and here’s what they’ve found:

Top 5 Kindle Fire problems

  1. Can’t Turn Off One-Click Shopping – 30% – very tricky as tablets are usually shared among the family members. Amazon promised to do something about it, though.
  2. Wi-Fi Connection Issues – 25% – one of the latest firmware updates reportedly fixed the problem for many users.
  3. No Parental Settings – 15% – because kids get to play with their parents’ gadgets.
  4. Touchscreen Precision – 15%
  5. USB Issues – 10%

Top 5 iPad 2 problems

  1. Wi-Fi Connection Issues – 35% – it is said that turning off and on Wi-Fi is working for some folks, while some others renewed DHCP lease.
  2. LED Display Issues – 15% – splotchy light patches around the edges of the device that become noticeable in the dark.
  3. Microphone Quality – 15%
  4. USB Issues – 10%
  5. Screen Issues – 10%
