If Instapaper and Read it Later doesn’t work for you, you may want to try out Readability. The web-based service that basically clears a web page to leave just its content while allowing you to bookmark it is pretty popular and will soon get a mobile component that works on two of the most popular platforms – Android and iOS.
The iPhone version (that also works on the iPod Touch and iPad) has been already submitted to Apple and rejected. Now it has been re-submitted and since the Readability developers have been in contact with Apple to clear the things out, it should hit the AppStore soon.
While waiting for the official seal of approval from Cupertino, the folks behind Readability have been working on an Android app, which too will be released soon.
In the meantime, Readability fans can access some of the popular service’s function through such iOS apps as Tweetbot and Reeder.
Now I get the idea of such services but ever since Evernote released Evernote Clearly, I find myself using it more often than dedicated article bookmarking services. Simply tap the Clearly icon in the Chrome browser and then copy the page to Evernote to access it later. That’s how I do it, but you may have your own favorite method…
