Good folks of FCC had a chance to play with the Acer Iconia Tab A510, giving it its official seal of approval, effectively making the quad-core tablet ready to be sold on the U.S. soil. Aside from rocking NVidia’s powerful processor (Tegra 3), the A510 also comes with a 10.1-inch 1280×800 pixels touchscreen, Wi-Fi connectivity, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing one, Dolby Mobile sound, HDMI out and 16GB of built-in storage.
Unfortunately FCC doesn’t tell us when devices they “clear” for the market will actually start selling, but now when that this administrative hurdle is out of the way, I guess we won’t have to wait for too long to see the likes of Best Buy and RadioShack offering the powerful tablet.
Meantime in Europe, Acer’s baby will hit the store shelves in March, with prices starting at about 400 EUR (about $518)…
