Acer Liquid Glow is a mid-level Android 4.0 smartphone

So the CloudMobile won’t be the only device Acer will announce at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Taiwanese company unveiled another smartphone – Acer Liquid Glow, which is a mid-range product that comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board. In addition, this little fella’ also sports a 3.7-inch WVGA screen, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash on the back, 512MB of RAM, 1GHz single-core CPU, NFC, and 1GB of built-in storage that can further be expanded with microSD memory cards.

According to Acer, interested users will be able to grab the Liquid Glow starting from early summer. It will be available in few awkwardly named colors such as Alpine White, Cat’s-eye Black and Sakura Pink. Yeah, they’re trying to reach for the mainstream consumer (“today’s fun-seeking, social-networking youth”) who don’t necessarily care about the phone’s specs as much as we do. Price was not unveiled, in case you wonder…
