Huawei was expected to announce the MediaPad 10 tablet during its MWC press event earlier today, but the presentation came and went with only a mention of the 10-inch tablet. A few little birdies, however, spotted the tablet at Huawei’s booth.

As expected, the Android tablet will be powered by Huawei’s new K3 quad-core processor. Videophiles will appreciate the tablet’s spacious 10-inch, 1080P HD (widescreen 1920×1200) display and its 8-megapixel rear camera. LTE connectivity makes sure you can stream video, browse the web and more with ease. Huawei manages to cram all this goodness into a shell that’s only 8.8 mm thick. It’ll be powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will debut in Q2 2012. Now word yet on pricing or geographic availability.

Want more details? Then check back soon as we’re on the floor at MWC and will have some hands-on time with the latest tablet Huawei has to offer. While you wait, you can follow all our coverage from Barcelona here.
