Samsung Brightside, that feature phone with a touchscreen and side-sliding QWERTY keyboard we told you about before, is almost live in Verizon Wireless’ portfolio. The “everything but cool” device packs a 3.1-inch display and 3.2-megapixel camera. Moreover, there are social networking, email and IM clients preloaded, as well as a web browser, document viewer and other standard mobile apps like calendar, alarm clock and so on.
The Samsung Brightside will be available tomorrow (March 1st) in Verizon’s Stores and online for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract. Given the fact that you can get an Android smartphone for the same cash, I see no reason why would anyone want the Brightside. Guess it comes with a cheaper contract or something. Still I must advise you to skip this phone at any cost, even if you’re on a really tight budget. There are better options out there, not all of them asking you to break a bank…
