HTC promised it would give us more details about its Android Ice Cream Sandwich update plans and the company has delivered in a new blog post. HTC has publicly committed to bringing Android 4.0 to 16 of its recent smartphones.

The full list includes:

    DROID Incredible 2 by HTC

  • HTC Amaze 4G
  • HTC Desire S
  • HTC Desire HD
  • HTC EVO 3D
  • HTC EVO Design 4G
  • HTC Incredible S
  • HTC Sensation
  • HTC Sensation XL
  • HTC Sensation 4G
  • HTC Sensation XE
  • HTC Raider
  • HTC Rezound
  • HTC Rhyme
  • HTC Thunderbolt
  • HTC Vivid

It’s a nice list and I can’t really pick out a device that was left out that should have been on the update list – sorry EVO users, it has been a reasonable time already. I’m also expecting these all to have the latest version of Sense, which we first saw on the One series.

HTC says it’s in the “early stages” of rolling out the Sensation updates and the others will follow afterwards. The rollout process will come in batches and have to go through the carriers, so the exact timing may be difficult to pin down.
