Sony is preparing to launch a new tablet in the near future. The device codenamed C150 has been unveiled by a NenaMark1 benchmark, from where we’ve learned it will have a 1280×800 pixels screen, NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 1.4GHz quad-core processor, while Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich will run the show. And that’s about all we have at the moment. Not a single word on the tablet’s design, screen size and other goodies that make all the difference in this space.

That said, I used to suggest Sony should launch an Android-powered version of its small Vaio P laptop. I know I would want such a device, and I’m sure I’m not alone. On the other hand, maybe the world could also “benefit” from a slightly smaller (yet more powerful) version of the Tablet S. At first I didn’t like that folded magazine design until I got to play with it – the Tablet S superbly fits your hand with its design being ideal for reading. Just an idea to consider… Anyone listening at Sony?
