Amazon is eager as ever to keep its Kindle apps up to date. Their latest endeavor includes releasing a new version of the Android client, which can now read Kindle Format 8 files. Moreover, Kindle users can now access a larger assortment of illustrated children’s books, comic books and graphic novels. In fact, there are more than 1000 children’s titles to choose from, including Brown Bear and Curious George, as well as popular comics such as Batman and Superman. Plus, there’s also richer formatting in thousands of other Kindle titles.
The other new feature of Kindle for Android is support for Send-to-Kindle, allowing you to access documents you’ve sent via email to your Kindle reader, whether it’s an Amazon-made device or just an app for a smartphone or tablet. Needless to say, all documents sent this way are stored in the Amazon Cloud so you can access them whenever needed.
Kindle for Android remains a free app and you can get it from a link below.
