Chunli Fu of Qingdao, China was the winner of Apple’s big 25 billion download promotion. She was revealed as the winner earlier this month and now she has traveled from her hometown to Beijing to collect her prize.

According to a report in M.I.C. Gadget, the woman is a new iPhone owner who is still learning how to use the iOS App Store when she downloaded the promotion-wining app, “Where’s My Water?”. She had no idea she had won the contest. In fact, she wasn’t even aware there was a contest. Not surprisingly, she thought the congratulatory call from Apple was a hoax. She was finally convinced when she received an email from Apple.

For her winning download, she will receive an iTunes gift card worth $10,000 USD, which she picked up from the employees at the Beijing Apple store. While at the store, she was greeted by local news media who were on hand to interview the girl they are now calling the “Apple Girl” from China.

“$10,000″ … costs apple only $3000 in lost percentage … kind of tacky, don’t you think?
