Clear took the App Store by storm when it landed on the iPhone earlier this year. It logged over 350,000 downloads in a few days and netted the UK developers a cool £169,000 ($268,000 USD). Now that Clear has been out for a while, other developers have had a chance to study the user interface and clone parts of its design into apps for other platforms.
One such clone recently landed in the Windows Marketplace. Known as Clearer, the app shares a similar look and feature set as the Clear app for iOS. Besides the obvious similarities, it also lets you use a photo for your background, change the colors of each task, and has “better” animations. Best of all, it supports Windows Live tile so you can view your total tasks as well as a breakdown of tasks on your homescreen.
The Clearer app is available now for Windows Phone handsets. The full version will cost you 99-cents, but there is a fully functional trial mode that lets you save one list. If you cough up a buck and buy the full app, you can save unlimited lists.
