Gameloft is on the roll. After announcing mobile games for the upcoming Ice Age movie and Men in Black 3, the mobile games publisher said – that’s not all. They managed to score few additional big-name licenses like The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers (feature phones only), The Amazing Spider-Man, My Little Pony and Littlest Pet Shop — all of which will be available on smartphones, tablets and feature phone. That’s an impressive line-up and the one that could propel the company to the top spot, which is currently held by EA.
In related news, Gameloft is also confident about its social strategy, saying that every single game they launch this year will be “heavily social” and will also feature in-app purchase capability. Heck, they plan to allow users to buy something while playing a game even they don’t own a smartphone. Guess that freemium scheme is working like charm for Gameloft.
Can’t wait for The Dark Knight Rises game. 😉
