Vodafone UK users with the Samsung Galaxy S II should get their Ice Cream Sandwich update later today! Although the date (April 12th) could change, something tells us the Big Red carrier doesn’t want to play too much with its user base’s nerves – and this is especially true since pretty much all other British carriers launched ICS updates for their Galaxy S II devices.
The new firmware version will be available both over-the-air and using Sammy’s rather not popular KIES software. So if you don’t see it yet while checking for OTA update, try connecting your beloved smartphone to your PC and see if KIES can help you somehow. I hate KIES but if that’s the only way to get the update today – I would bite the bullet. Alternatively, you can wait for another day or so and do everything relying on a wireless Internet connection. It’s your call…
