What happens to your lost smartphone? [Infographic]

One of the worst feeling around is putting your hand in your pocket or purse to grab your smartphone and realizing it’s not there. If you’ve ever lost your smartphone, I guess you can take solace in the fact that the infographic below shows you’re not alone.

The folks at Lookout Mobile put together some interesting data points and found that $7 million dollars worth of phones are lost every day around the globe. The holidays seem like the easiest time to lost these devices, as there are $11 million dollars worth of phones lost during Christmas and $14 million lost during New Year.
