Samsung can’t get enough of Galaxy names. After we’ve seen them securing a number of trademarks in two batches, the Korean giant decided to take one additional step forward, and future-proof its plans with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
On May 10, 2012, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. submitted applications for the Galaxy Lunge (Serial No. 85621870), Galaxy Forge (8561866), Galaxy Wield (85621864), Galaxy Mission (85621859), Galaxy Rivet (85621854) and the Galaxy Victory (85621853).
All of the patents filed cover mobile telephones and smartphones, though as we know that doesn’t mean we’ll actually see any of these ever hit the market.
Perhaps, who knows, “Lunge” or “Victory” may be unveiled in time for the Olympics, though that’s just a speculation on my behalf. We’ll definitely be following every step Samsung makes and let you know as soon as we hear something cool. Stay tuned…
