Russia-based HeroCraft is releasing Cuboid for iOS, which is described as a “stunning 3D puzzle game in which players navigate ancient ruins and lush environments, maneuvering a rectangular block through mystical exits.” The previous best selling title on the PlayStation Network is now available as a free download for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, though you get only so much for free. The full game features 77 “twisted puzzles” and 3 “vibrant environments”, challenging players in a “variety of mind-bending ways” to flip and rotate the game’s main object — the ancient artifact Cuboid – to stand on and pass through a level’s mystical exit as fast and with as few moves as possible, all-the-while being careful not to fall off the map.

The game starts with simple concrete surfaces, though as you advance, you are faced with more complex obstacles such as fragile tiles, switches, teleporters, or levels that impose move limits to complete the maps.

All in all, you’ll have a ton of fun playing Cuboid. It’s one of those games that will make waiting in the queue much more bearable “experience.” Check out the short demo video below to see with your own eyes what’s it all about…
