Good news for those of you with Verizon’s LG Spectrum smartphone – it will soon get its serving of the Ice Cream Sandwich. The new ROM has been leaked onto XDA forums, where eager hackers are trying to make it work on their Spectrum units.

That, however, isn’t as easy as it sounds and if you don’t know what you’re doing, you’re better off waiting for the official update to start rolling out. Now that the leaked ROM is out, we guess the wait will soon be over — though we can’t confirm anything at this point.

If you’re feeling adventurous and you have the tech skills needed to make this work, hop over to XDA forums where other members of the community can help you get the latest version of Android on your Spectrum…
