New Telmap APIs allow websites and mobile apps to send locations to the Telmap Location Companion

Telmap is launching two new APIs to connect websites and mobile apps with its Mobile Location Companion. As a result, users of websites which provide information about various points of interest can now send the location (address or business information) directly to the Telmap-powered app that’s installed on their mobile device.

User click on the “send to my GPS” button that is embedded in participating websites, and enter your mobile number. The location information is then sent and saved to “my places” within the Telmap Mobile Location Companion from where you can easily access it. So far, this new capability has been implemented with several leading websites in Israel including rest.co.il and 2eat.co.il.

As for the mobile apps API, it works in a similar fashion, allowing users to tap the “click-2-navigate” button next to locations mentioned within the app, which will immediately start Telmap with navigation session to the requested location already programmed in…
