Vodafone UK is launching a successor to the Vodafone Smart smartphone. Simply called Vodafone Smart II, it’s a slightly beefed-up version of the original device that still caters toward the first time smartphone buyers.
Specs wise, Vodafone’s baby rocks a 3.2-inch screen (we guess it’s HVGA), 3.2-megapixel camera, 800MHz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 150MB of built-in storage, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth and a microSD expansion slot (a 2GB card comes included). All this could be yours for 70 GBP (about $108) on prepaid.
That’s pretty affordable and something Vodafone is heavily emphasizing in its promo video (which you can see below).
Anyway, Vodafone Smart II is available in dark grey and white, and additionally users can get “great value Freebees” that include a choice of free minutes, text and web access or international calls…
