It’s Sony’s turn at E3 2012 and the gaming giant announced that it’s rebranding the PlayStation Suite for mobile phones as PlayStation Mobile.

The company is also opening up the mobile gaming platform to other Android hardware manufacturers, including HTC which has signed on as the first hardware partner.

Details are not yet available about the gaming hardware planned by HTC, but this is definitely an area to watch in the future.

What I don’t get is that back in 2011 it was announced that all Tegra 2 devices would have access to the Playstation Suite – and now its news that HTC is doing it? At least we can actually expect it to materialize with HTC.
