Banjo for iOS gets new layout, larger photos, easier sharing, and the ability to like and comment on Facebook posts

Banjo, the mobile app that gives you “social super-powers,” updated its iOS client, making it easier to use, while also including some user-suggested improvements.

First you’ll notice that photos now play a more prominent role in both your Community Feed (previously known as Community List) and Friends Feed, occupying a larger chunk of the screen. Moreover, friends are highlighted with an orange box around the photo to help you differentiate between friends and other members of the community, while a distance indicator (which auto-hides on scrolling) shows a distance between your location and specific posts.

Then there’s redesigned feed along with new features, allowing users to comment on Instagram and Facebook posts, and share photos they like. The new sharing animation now only looks cooler, but it also makes it easier to share posts from Banjo on Facebook, Twitter, SMS, email or save to your iCloud.

Finally, finding your friends across social networks is now easier (as well), and you can switch between the feed, map and people view.

Banjo remains a free app and you can get it from the link below. Hopefully an update to the Android version will follow shortly…
