Mobile social discovery app WhosHere is expanding to reach even more users. Yup, Android users can now join the party and connect safely via text and VOIP calls with like-minded people nearby.

Unlike some other mobile dating and social discovery apps, WhosHere works without requiring you to make your personal information public — in order to start using it, all you have to enter is a screen name and you’re good to go. However, in order to get better matches you may want to disclose an additional information, including age, interests and what you’re looking for.

All matching is mutual, meaning that users only see people that meet their criteria and can only be contacted by mutual matches, keeping privacy and safety intact. Moreover, there’s the so called jerk filter, which as you can imagine, makes sure “certain individuals” won’t bug you… Check it out and let us know whether WhosHere works for you.
