TELUS doesn’t want to keep its users wondering when their smartphones will updated. Hence the carrier released a list of all devices that will get new software in the coming months. As you’re about to see, not all phones will get the same treatment since the latest version of Android (Ice Cream Sandwich) requires more powerful hardware.

Without further ado, here’s what they got:

Android:

  • HTC Amaze 4G – Ice Cream Sandwich – June 1st (i.e. it should already be out)
  • HTC Desire HD – ICS – July 25th
  • LG Optimus LTE – ICS – Mid July
  • LG Shine Plus – Gingerbread June 12th
  • S.E Xperia Ray – ICS – Late June
  • Samsung Galaxy Note – ICS – Early July
  • Samsung Galaxy SII X – ICS – June 12th
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – ICS – Late July
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 – ICS – Late July

BlackBerry:

  • BlackBerry Bold 9790 upgrade to OS 7.1 will be released at some point in early July (previously early June)

Windows Phone:

  • LG Optimus L7 – June 6th
  • Nokia Lumia 800 – July (previously early June)

And if for some reason you don’t trust us, check out TELUS’ original document (PDF) from here.
