If you recall, the Denmark-based Lumigon unveiled a new phone at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona – Lumigon T2. At that point, they haven’t told us how much the fancy-lookin’ device will cost though we knew it won’t impress geeks with its guts. The reason is simple – it comes with a single-core processor which is rather unacceptable by today’s standards when we expect expensive devices to rock quad-core CPUs. Perhaps that will change in the next few weeks or months, eventually pushing some folks towards Lumigon’s baby, perhaps not. We’ll have to wait and see and in the meantime, we’ve found out how much the company will charge for the T2.
If everything goes as planned, the new Lumigon smartphone will be released in Europe and Asia by the end of summer with a hefty price tag of 500-600 EUR. Interested folks will be able to pick between Deep Black and Cool White model, both of which will also have the Vault app pre-installed, allowing users to keep notes, passwords and emails securely stored on the device and in the cloud. That’s neat capability though I’m not sure it justifies the steep price. Or so I think – what do you say?
